Aunque muy esperada, la serie de procesadores de escritorio Ryzen 9000 de AMD Llegó con un ruido sordo a principios de este año.. Desde entonces, la compañía ha estado controlando los daños, culpando del pobre delta de rendimiento inicial a algunos de sus propios metodología de prueba defectuosa mientras ofreciendo una serie de correcciones.
La última actualización de Ryzen de AMD supuestamente ofrece un rendimiento aún mejor y más opciones para los usuarios de computadoras de escritorio.
Según un comunicado de prensa de esta mañana, el firmware más nuevo de AMD para las placas base X870 y los chipsets Ryzen 600 dará a los nuevos procesadores Ryzen 9600X y 9700X acceso a un nuevo perfil de potencia TDP de 105 vatios. Esto ha sido técnicamente posible desde su lanzamiento, pero las nuevas opciones de BIOS permitirán a los usuarios llevar estos chips menos costosos a un mayor rendimiento sin anular las garantías.
AMD dice que también están abordando un aumento en la latencia de núcleo a núcleo que algunos críticos detectaron al comparar los chips Ryzen 9000 con sus predecesores de la serie 7000. El comunicado de prensa dice que el BIOS 1.2.0.2 “reduce el número de transacciones a la mitad para este caso, lo que ayuda a reducir la latencia de núcleo a núcleo en modelos multi-CCD”. Es un gran problema para los juegos que dependen notablemente de la CPU, así como de algunos puntos de referencia. (¡Y sabemos que a los jugadores de PC les encanta probar con un buen punto de referencia!)
Si es el primero en la fila para recibir la última generación de placas base compatibles con AM5, asegúrese de obtener las últimas actualizaciones del BIOS lo antes posible. Según AMD, las placas X870 y X870E admitirán nuevas RAM DDR5-8000 con perfil EXPO para una memoria increíblemente rápida. Este es el último perfil desarrollado por AMD para RAM que se puede overclockear, muy similar al XMP de Intel.
