Últimamente has estado pasando por un momento difícil, ¿con qué todas esas estafas que aparecen en los resultados de búsqueda y tu nuevo amigo de IA, Gemini, diciéndole a la gente que usar pegamento como aderezo para pizza. ¿Es por eso que estás probando esas marcas de verificación azules de aspecto familiar junto a las URL verificadas en tus páginas de resultados de búsqueda?
El borde insignias de verificación manchadas junto a algunos nombres de empresas conocidas en los resultados de búsqueda de Google que conducían directamente a sus sitios web relevantes. Amazon, Apple, Epic Games, HP, Meta y Microsoft estuvieron entre los ejemplos vistos, aunque las insignias no aparecen para todos, ni siquiera para la misma persona que inició sesión en diferentes cuentas.
“Este ícono se muestra porque las señales de Google sugieren que esta empresa es la empresa que dice ser”, dice el mensaje emergente de la insignia (omitiendo inútilmente un enlace a la definición de tautología en Wikcionario). Termina con un poco de jerga legal de CYA: “Google no puede garantizar la confiabilidad de esta empresa o sus productos”.
Como adopción de un lenguaje visual con el que mucha gente está familiarizada, tiene sentido. Incluso después de todo el drama que rodeó el sistema de verificación de Twitter después de que los cheques azules se convirtieran en efectivamente inútil Después de la adquisición de Musk, pequeños íconos de marcas de verificación de colores siguen siendo los medios sociales que hablan de “esto es legítimo”.
Pero aplicar esto a la Búsqueda requeriría una automatización en toda la web, y el texto emergente de Google parece no estar muy entusiasmado con ello desde una perspectiva de responsabilidad. Con eso en mente, podría decidir si esto se implementará o no para más usuarios como una característica estándar en el producto principal de Google.
