¿Lago lunar? ¿Lago Flecha? Después de que Intel lanzó ambos chips, ahora está dirigiendo su mirada al siguiente procesador en su hoja de ruta: Panther Lake.
El director ejecutivo de Intel, Pat Gelsinger, mostró lo que suponemos será un prototipo del próximo procesador de Intel en Lenovo Tech World, donde apareció en el escenario para, entre otras cosas, promocionar el nuevo procesador. Lenovo mostró sus nuevas PC Aura Edition y Gelsinger subió al escenario para elogiar el uso del procesador Core Ultra por parte de la computadora portátil y revelar que esta es la computadora portátil que él está usando personalmente. “¿Puedes tener una gran duración de batería y un X86? Sí. Ese debate ya terminó”, dijo Gelsinger.
Luego invitó a Yang Yuanqing (también conocido como “YY”), director ejecutivo de Lenovo, a regresar al escenario para el momento “una cosa más” de Gelsinger.

Intel ha dicho anteriormente que tiene la intención de enviar Panther Lake en la primera mitad de 2025, aunque la compañía no ha dicho si tiene la intención de que el chip sea solo para computadoras portátiles, como Lunar Lake, o para computadoras portátiles y de escritorio de alto rendimiento, como Arrow Lake. Tanto el lago Arrow como el lago Lunar han sido fabricados principalmente en TSMCcon Intel a cargo del empaque, la base y otras funciones menos importantes. Intel también ha anunciado importantes despidos que están en proceso a lo largo de 2024, en parte porque sus inversiones en su negocio de fundición aún no han dado sus frutos.
