PowerToys Workspaces es una de las últimas incorporaciones al conjunto de aplicaciones PowerToys de Microsoft, así como una de las más simples y poderosas. Solo toma un par de segundos configurar una disposición de ventanas exactamente como desea, guardarla y luego iniciarla con solo un clic.
Es una manera muy fácil de comenzar el día, especialmente después de reiniciar tu PC o después de un fin de semana largo. De hecho, me acabo de dar cuenta de que, de manera bastante estúpida, reproduzco lo que Workspaces hace todos los días, cuando podría hacer que PowerToys lo hiciera por mí automáticamente.
Primero, un breve resumen: PowerToys es una colección de utilidades gratuitas de Windowsdirectamente de Microsoft. Deberá descargar la aplicación directamente desde Microsoft y luego habilitar cualquiera o todas las aplicaciones PowerToys que desee utilizar. Los que utilices dependen de ti; hay más de una docena. Microsoft a menudo toma un PowerToy de la colección y lo agrega a Windows, como FancyZones, una versión más potente de la función Snap dentro de Windows. Se agregaron espacios de trabajo en agostoy combina Snap con la función de escritorios virtuales casi desaparecida de Microsoft.
Básicamente, PowerToys Workspaces le permite iniciar y configurar instantáneamente una colección de ventanas y/o aplicaciones en múltiples pantallas, organizadas como desee. Normalmente uso dos pantallas en mi escritorio y organizo manualmente (¡argh!) una serie de aplicaciones entre ellas, desde Mail/Outlook hasta Teams o Slack, hasta varias ventanas del navegador en tareas en las que estoy trabajando actualmente o que he guardado para el futuro. . Podrías pensar en Workspaces como una especie de marcador: organiza todo de esa manera y luego guarda tu trabajo.
Cómo configurar los espacios de trabajo de PowerToys
Primero, descargue el Utilidad PowerToys si aún no lo has hecho. PowerToys normalmente solicita reiniciar su PC, así que guarde su trabajo antes de hacerlo.

Puede que PowerToys sea conocido por sus diversas aplicaciones, pero la interfaz de usuario es un poco desordenada. Debería ver una lista de utilidades PowerToys disponibles, que puede habilitar y agregar a la pantalla principal. Haga eso con espacios de trabajo.
En mi PC, Workspaces tenía un atajo extraño: Ganar + CTRL + ' que cambié simplemente haciendo clic en el cuadro Espacios de trabajo. De lo contrario, simplemente debe hacer clic en “Iniciar editor” desde el menú principal de Workspaces o dentro del menú de configuración de Workspaces.

Cuando inicie el editor de espacios de trabajo, la aplicación abrirá una ventana grande en blanco. Una vez que haya guardado algunos espacios de trabajo, esa ventana le mostrará sus arreglos históricos de espacios de trabajo. También tendrás la oportunidad de crear más haciendo clic en el pequeño botón “Crear espacio de trabajo” en la esquina superior derecha. Hazlo.
Verá pequeños bordes rojos delineando cada pantalla (si tiene más de una) solo para indicar que está en el modo específico para configurar un espacio de trabajo. Crear un diseño de espacio de trabajo simplemente significa organizar las ventanas de su aplicación en varios monitores y luego hacer clic en el botón correspondiente para capturar el diseño.

Eso abrirá la página principal de Espacios de trabajo una vez más, donde tendrá la oportunidad de guardar y nombrar el Espacio de trabajo, y realizar cualquier ajuste. (Esto se muestra en la imagen a continuación).
Los espacios de trabajo guardarán las aplicaciones minimizadas en la parte inferior del espacio de trabajo, como se muestra en Edge en la captura de pantalla siguiente. También observe el desorden de aplicaciones en la parte superior, donde una está encima de la otra. Esa es una pista de que solo debes abrir las aplicaciones que desees dentro del espacio de trabajo. Después de todo, quieres mantener todo bonito y ordenado. De lo contrario, esta página le permite eliminar cualquier aplicación sobrante o volver a abrir el espacio de trabajo para realizar ajustes. Naturalmente, puedes guardar y cambiar el nombre del espacio de trabajo cuando hayas terminado.
Hay algunas peculiaridades. Si estaba trabajando en una hoja de cálculo de Excel, abrir un Espacio de trabajo con Excel lo llevará a una página donde puede seleccionar la hoja de cálculo en la que trabajar, y no la hoja de cálculo que tenía abierta cuando guardó el Espacio de trabajo. Del mismo modo, probablemente se abrirá un navegador web con la última página que vio. Eso no es una marca negra, sólo una indicación de que es posible que aún tengas que retocar un poco al iniciar un espacio de trabajo previamente guardado.

¿La recompensa? Un diseño final de las ventanas de Workspaces tú los desee, con la capacidad de ejecutarlos rápidamente. (Tenga en cuenta que varias aplicaciones pueden tardar unos segundos en iniciarse e incluso puede recibir una pequeña ventana emergente indicándolo).
Todo esto son muchas explicaciones para describir un proceso que probablemente adoptarás con bastante naturalidad. Me da vergüenza darme cuenta de que el jugueteo con Windows que hago la mayoría de las mañanas podría haberse automatizado con Workspaces hace mucho tiempo. Es otra utilidad rápida y sencilla de la increíble colección PowerToys.
